These 8mm pins can be press fit into your PuckChuck pallets serving two purposes:
- For single-PuckChuck applications, this pin will keep the pallet from rotating about the lone pullstud.
- For multi-PuckChuck setups, this pin can be used as a poka-yoke feature which makes it impossible to install pallets in the wrong orientation (this also requires PuckChucks be oriented in a way that doesn't allow the pin to align with the clocking feature on the receiver in more than one orientation).
Pins should be installed with the non-chamfered side facing out of the pallet towards the receiver. Pins should not protrude more than 0.210" [5.33mm] from the pallet.
As with any slip-fit, there will be some 'slop' between the pin and the slot on the PuckChuck receiver. This means that, at some level, you will be able to turn the pallet a small amount with enough force. These are standard 'h6' tolerance pins, however you may choose to turn your own ø8mm x 12mm pins to fine-tune this fit (sacrificing the ease-of-assembly for a tighter fit). Mechanical PuckChucks are recommended over Automatic PuckChucks for single-receiver applications.
Sold individually. Only one pin per pallet is recommended - pin should be installed nearest the 'locating' pullstud. See here for recommended tolerances and location.
