Introducing the SMW PlugJack - a dual-function low profile machinist's jack and repeatable vise endstop! Compatible with SMW Fixture Plates and Modular Vises.

Machinist's Jack

Insert a fixture plate plug into the jack screw for use as a jack to stabilize larger parts and eliminate vibrations. 

Vise Endstop

The PlugJack can be used as an endstop in one of two ways:

1) Use the hex flats of the jack screw as an endstop feature (see last photo). This allows fine adjustment of the endstop height which can be locked in place using the lock nut.

2) The 1/2" bore in the top of the jack screw can be used with a dowel pin or your own custom hardware to create a repeatable stop location (see 2nd to last photo). Note that all versions of the PlugJack use a 1/2" counterbore to maintain compatibility with our fixture plate plugs.

When tightening and loosening the lock nut, we recommend always using two wrenches (one holding the PlugJack base and one turning the lock nut). This avoids overtightening or accidentally loosening the PlugJack in the fixture plate.
