Expanding Pin Setup Anti-seize application Our expanding pins require application of high pressure lubricant on both the curved head and threads of the parabolic bolt. This benefits the longevity of the pin and increases the clamping force (at a given torque) by reducing friction. Anti-seize is available here. See below for the recommended application areas (shown in red). Fixture preparation Expanding pins require a tapped and counterbored hole for installation into your fixture. Thread and counterbore sizes are available in the below drawing. We recommend steel for any threads seeing frequent clamping and unclamping. For aluminum fixtures, we prefer installing this style of thread inserts to ensure longer thread life. Expanding Pin & Fixture Preparation Dimensions (.pdf)
