24.23" x 11.95" x 0.92" modular 6061 aluminum fixture & tooling plate for Shapeoko 5 Pro CNC routers. SMW Fixture Plates are only compatible with Shapeoko routers having the t-slotted Hybrid Table option (see render).
- Shapeoko 5 Pro 2x2 (2 plates for max coverage)
- Shapeoko 5 Pro 2x4 (4 plates for max coverage)
- Shapeoko 5 Pro 4x4 (8 plates for max coverage)
Fixture holes are 1.25" on center. Each fixturing hole is tapped 1/2x13 and bored for 0.500" pin. Each plate contains 10 mounting holes* for M6 SHCS and 336 fixturing holes. Pattern is not continuous across plate seam. Plates can be mounted anywhere along the t-slots on the router bed (long side of plate must remain along the X axis) and can be combined side-by-side for use cases where full coverage is needed.
The improvements brought to the table by the Shapeoko 5 line call for a step up in workholding - the Shapeoko 5 is the first Carbide3D router since the top-of-the-line HDM to get our professional line 1/2" precision bored fixture plate pattern. These modular plates offer a more flexible workholding solution with a lower barrier of entry for beginners and hobbyists when compared to a full-sized fixture plate: buy just one and add on as you need!
For best flatness plates should be mounted directly to the aluminum extrusion, however plates can also be mounted on top of the Shapeoko's MDF strips. We recommend surfacing the MDF before mounting our fixture plates in this case.
*See drawing for mounting hole configuration. QTY4 mounting holes are half-holes for use when plates are butted against one another. Hardware kits are available here.
Mounting hardware not included. QTY6-10 18mm M6 SHCS and t-nuts should be used per plate. Existing T-nuts and M6 hardware (for securing MDF strips) included with your router can be used, otherwise hardware kits are available for purchase. Our Fixture Plate Set Installation Tool is NOT compatible with Shapeoko 5 fixture plates.
