Made from hardened steel, our SMW Turret Grip is a versatile, low-profile clamping solution for round and odd-shaped material using the Modular Vise, 3/4" counterbored vise jaws, or your own custom fixtures. When used with the Mod Vise, material can be clamped with as little as 0.125" (3.18mm) above the vise parallels.

The Turret Grip will leave small indentations on your part as it 'bites' into the material. It is recommended for clamping materials <= 40HRC. We do not recommend seating the part (e.g. smacking with a dead-blow mallet) after clamping with Turret Grips. This can break the teeth of the clamp if they are hit after biting into the material.
At larger part diameters, with harder materials, and/or when applying the maximum clamping force with the Mod Vise the outer 'teeth' may show signs of minor wear. This is normal with this style of clamps, and generally does not affect clamp function.
