12.05" x 8.74" x 0.70" [306 x 222 x 17.8mm] 6061 Aluminum Fixture & Tooling Plate for Makera Carvera Air Desktop CNC Machines. Not compatible with the standard Carvera.
We are currently producing plates for our waitlist for this product. We expect additional inventory to be available for purchase from this page on or before mid-April.
This fixture plate retains the 4mm alignment pin locations by installing over the standoffs in the Air's bed. Pins can then be installed as usual by passing them through the holes in the fixture plate (engraved with a '+' for easy identification). The plate has threaded M5 holes for using Makera's 4th axis and L-bracket accessories in addition to our 1/4" or M6 hole pattern.
INCH PLATES: Holes are 0.75" on center. Every hole is tapped 1/4"-20.
METRIC PLATES: Holes are 20mm on center. Every hole is tapped M6.
To install the plate the existing MDF bed will need to be removed, at which point our fixture plate mounts using the socket head screws removed from the MDF bed. 8mm standoffs for 4mm locating pins can remain in place.
NOTE: If you are machining conductive materials, you must cover the circuit board contacts before installing the fixture plate. Otherwise metal chips may fall through the fixture plate holes and cause a short. We recommend covering with hot glue, electrical tape, or installing set screws in the fixture plate to block the holes above the circuit board. You can also 3D-print our fixture plate plugs here.
Please contact us for specific lead times or to inquire about time-critical orders.
This fixture plate ships via standard parcel shipping (FedEx Ground or USPS Priority). For questions about additional shipping methods, please contact us.
This plate reuses existing mounting hardware, so no additional items are needed for installation.
